Bluetooth Wireless Technology® cable replacement applications are limitless and the blu2i Universal RS-232 Adaptor is the simplest method of upgrading any host with an RS-232 interface to create a unique solution. With excellent ranges over 200m the blu2i Universal RS-232 Adaptor can connect to any application currently using a standard RS-232 connection. No changes to existing systems are needed and no software is required. The blu2i Universal RS-232 Adaptor can be easily installed with access to the GPIO, power and RS-232 connections and commissioned using the configuration utilities. The digital GPIO lines, controlled from S registers, have an additional feature that the GPIO status can be made available as part of the Bluetooth device class in inquiry responses.
