The Board

Dr Vanstone has more than 30 years distinguished experience in the communications & electronics industries. He was a senior executive with Racal Electronics, successively Head of Central Research Facilities, MD of the Redac Software Group and Director of Business Development for Racal Group. He was involved in many of the group's strategic investment activities including the start-up of Vodafone, formation of the Racal Security group, and restructuring and disposal of Racal Telecom for £1bn. His expertise lies in managing the growth of shareholder value in technology based businesses. 

Chris Shannon has 18 years experience in general management, engineering and marketing for VC backed technology companies. Before joining the founding team at Ezurio, Chris was CEO of Indigo Photonics, a business acquired in 2003 by Insensys Ltd where he retains a position as NXD. Prior to this, Chris was VP Marketing at Queensgate Instruments which was acquired by SDL Inc in 2000 and subsequently became part of JDS Uniphase in 2001, the world’s largest supplier of optical components to the telecoms market.

Nick Hunn is one of the founders of Grey Cell Systems, which was acquired by TDK Corporation to form TDK Systems Europe.  He has over 15 years experience in communications technology, prior to which he worked within the semiconductor and medical industry.  Nick is also an Executive Director of the Mobile Data Association.  He has an MA in Natural Sciences from Pembroke College Cambridge.

Ivor has held a number of board positions, including CFO of three UK listed companies. He has worked in a number of different manufacturing environments and has extensive experience of M&A deals, re-organisations and fund raisings.  More recently he has worked with VC backed hi-tech companies in CEO/COO positions one of which he led in a trade sale to a NASDAQ listed company for $210m.  Ivor is a Chartered Accountant and has a B.Sc. in Mathematics.
